Mike Cassidy is a columnist at the San Jose Mercury News who writes about the culture of Silicon Valley. He’s defined his turf broadly, but has concentrated on what it’s like to live in one of the hottest high-tech centers of the world. What people create in Silicon Valley and the way they work to create it makes the valley a unique place. What’s done in Silicon Valley is serious business, but Cassidy believes we all need to be careful not to take ourselves too seriously. He’s won numerous awards for his writing, including a share of the Pultizer Prize for the Mercury News’ coverage of the Loma Prieta earthquake. You can reach him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
